Tranceformation

Despite all the stress and negativity I’ve been dealing with for the past couple of weeks, I think I can say that this past week has been good for my music project.
I kicked off last weekend with a sample playlist for “Dreamcatcher” which will be out very soon. In addition to that, I’ve laid down a handful of Trance tracks, some of them complete, some of them very near, others only in the concept phase.
All in all, I think they’re sounding really great so far and can’t wait to get stuck into finishing them. I’m sure you’ve already heard “Azure”, “Awakening”, “Venus” and the brand new sample from “Moonlight”. 2010 shall be the year of Gigitsu.
Lastly, a little bit more info on “Dreamcatcher”. I’m still deciding which tracks are going to be added to it, but so far it looks like it will be a very chilled out/ambient/minimal album with some surreal tracks and some modern classic. I’d love to throw in the new tracks, but I think they’ll be going onto a separate album with a more electronic feel.
I hope you’re enjoying the tunes so far and hope you’ll pass by the online shop once it’s all sorted out and finalized. Your support is greatly appreciated :)
Enjoy the weekend and take Care
Gigi

Drug Music? "Nervous Breakdown" sample.

Attempting something new in my music styles. Instead of my usual smooth, relaxing style with lots of strings and harmonies, I've gone and tried to make something that would appeal to the harder cores. This one is still a work in progress, but I think I got that drug fuelled vibe down.

Getting closer...

Today I had an epiphany. You probably know I'm still working on getting an album out sometime this year, and as promised, I'll have something going on for May 19th. I'm still not 100% sure what I'll be giving you, but an idea hit me today.

All I can say is I'll be working on something. But keep a lookout for the 19th. There'll definitely be something.

"Dark Water" up for download...

Going with the meditational flow, this one is for the people looking for Zen. Hopefully it will help you on your journey. I had originally called it "Black Water", but after a quick Wikipedia search....well Google it yourself and see what it is.

I gave it a dark name because of the feeling it gives me. It's not evil, but it somehow reminds me of being in complete darkness with only a few sounds and your own thoughts. Time flows around you like water and you seem to bond with it to the point you don't notice it there anymore.

"Dark Water" for download on SoundCloud. Part II coming soon.

Ad Meliora

Ad Meliora: To better things.

This is just a little update into the project. As you probably know, I've been looking for ways to sell my music, and in the process I've been taking down tracks to work on them for a complete album. A few things still need to be done, and I'm confident we'll see something this year.

But onto another idea I've had. Live shows. I thought about the entertainment aspect of the project, and decided it might be a good idea if I learned to play an instrument live and use my basic scores as a background track, seeing as everything right now is automated. After pondering long and hard, I realized now probably isn't the best time for me to be taking up any other hobbies as I won't have so much free time in the coming months.

Naturally, my next idea was to find someone else to help out. I'm looking for anyone situated in Austria, preferably in Salzburg or Vienna, or anywhere near them, to help me out. Anyone who can play the piano or keyboard and is interested in getting into the underground scene, and hopefully some live shows. I've composed a few songs already, but, of course, I'm open to working on them and coming up with new material.

If you have your own keyboard (MIDI or USB capable) and have experience working in FL Studio, Reason 3 and EWQL Symphonic, that would be excellent. I'm also open to trying out other production suites and seeing if they work out.

If you can do it, or if you know someone interested, please don't hesitate to contact me via one of the following, whichever is easiest.

Eyes Like Sapphires.

This is a brand new one I made entirely last night. It's another song revolving around perpetuum mobile. I wanted it to sound sparkly and glittery, like looking into a persons eyes and seeing how they light up and shine.

I think it does sound a little bit like "God Moving Over The Face Of The Water" by Moby but I didn't really intend for it to turn out like that. I still need to listen to it a few more times and make some notes before I can go back and change a few things, but as for now, I think it's perfect.

Please enjoy :)

The Aftermath Official Remix

I'm excited about this. Couldn't wait until I got home to open the email attachment and hear what a friend of mine had cooked up for me. Yes Ladies and Gents, "The Aftermath" has been remixed by a friend and mentor of mine, Raulan Zhubanov.

I sent him the track knowing he would do something amazing to it, and I think it's very safe to say that he did more than fulfil my expectations. Maybe I should also start making my tracks a little more upbeat?

Anyway, here it is, The Aftermath (Raulan Remix).

Please also visit his site and have a listen to some of his tracks. He's one of the best underground musicians I know.

And my revised Version of The Aftermath.
